Voting, Judging and Judges

How each category is decided

• Entry categories: artists submit their own work, which is then vetted and judged by an independent panel.
• Non-entry and special categories: no public submission. Winners are chosen directly by the independent judges.
• Public vote category (Best Song): the public votes for the winner from a shortlist of five songs.

The judging process

• Vetting: every entry is checked for eligibility and compliance. No artistic judgment happens at this stage
• Adjudication: eligible entries go to an independent panel of local and international judges, who score each entry against category criteria
• Auditing: an independent auditor verifies the integrity of the scoring and voting process
• Nominees announced: shortlisted nominees are revealed at the Nomination Launch
• Winners announced: results are revealed at the awards ceremony
