This award is not open for entry. All eligible songs submitted to the NAMAs during the official Call for Submissions shall automatically be considered for this award.
The award recognises the commercially released song that has received the highest verified radio airplay across approved Namibian radio broadcasters during the Eligibility Period. The winner shall be determined using independently verified broadcast data and official playlist reports obtained by the Adjudication Committee.
The winner will be determined using the following methodology
- Only radio airplay recorded during the official Eligibility Period shall be considered.
- Only commercially released songs that have been validly submitted to the NAMAs shall be eligible.
- Airplay data shall be obtained from approved public, private, community, and online radio broadcasters licensed by the Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN).
- The Adjudication Committee may obtain and verify broadcast data through official playlist reports, recognised music reporting systems, broadcaster records, or other authorised sources.
- Where available, audience reach, and frequency of airplay may be considered in determining the overall radio performance of a song.
- The Adjudication Committee shall determine the approved broadcasters, reporting systems, and verification methodology for each Awards Cycle.
- Fraudulent, manipulated, or unverifiable broadcast data shall not be considered.
- Where sufficient or independently verifiable broadcast data cannot be obtained, the Adjudication Committee may recommend that the award not be presented for that Awards Cycle.
