Her father was a pastor at a local church and this prompted her to join the church choir. In 2003, popular television show ‘Idols’ decided to pay a visit to Namibia. At 13, Adora was fortunate to be part of the selection process. She proceeded to the final round but did not win, although the competition offered a valuable learning experience. At 14 she enrolled at the College of the Arts in Windhoek for piano lessons. She also enrolled for Vocal Training in Classical Music.

Adora participated in the 2009 and 2011 Old Mutual Jazz Encounters (now known as the Windhoek Jazz Festival). She has performed with South African-Mozambican guitarist Jimmy Dludlu and Dynamax from the US. Back home, she has worked with D-Naff, Sunny Boy, Gal Level, PDK, Maszangas, Tswazis and many others. Apart from gospel, her songs contain influences of other genres such as jazz, opera, contemporary, hip-hop, RnB and traditional.

The Song of the Year category is sponsored by National Arts Council of Namibia. Terms and Conditions Apply
